The Borussia Dortmund playmaker has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga this summer, with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson thought to be keen on bringing the player to Old Trafford.
Kagawa was aware of the interest of Manchester United through reports in the media, with the Japanese international thought to be one of the potential options as a replacement for Paul Scholes.
However, the former Cerezo Osaka star has told German paper Bild that he wants to stay with his current club, and is thought to be close to a new deal with Die Borussen.
"I've repeatedly emphasised how comfortable I feel in Dortmund. I'm not wasting a thought on a change of club, said Kagawa.
We have truly the best fans that I know. Why should I not stay here any longer?
Chief executive officer Hans-Joachim Watzke said earlier in the week that the club would be 'foolish' not to offer the player a new deal at Signal Iduna Park, with Kagawa providing instant value following the 350,000 move back in August 2010.
