Houston bow for Chicharito?Sir Alex has confirmed Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez could play a part in Wednesday's friendly against the MLS All-Stars.

The Mexican striker will link up with his new team-mates on Monday in Houston following some time off after an impressive display for his country at the World Cup.

Sir Alex is looking forward to working with the 22-year-old, who was snapped up by the club towards the end of last season.

"We were lucky that we identified him before the World Cup and got the deal the done," explained the boss.

"If we'd have waited until after the tournament he could have cost us maybe two to three times the money. It was good work by our scouting department - they did a really good job.

"It depends on his condition when he joins us in Houston but we hope to give him a bit of football on Wednesday night."

Sir Alex also revealed the plans for Friday night's match against Hernandez's former club Chivas in Guadalajara.

"He'll play against his old club in the first half and then play for them against us in the second. It'll be a nice tribute to his old club
